  a relative of my wife, just got engaged to a "worldly guy".. the young lady is a baptized publisher, and i am shocked to hear that no one has made a negative comment about her future husband not being an dub.. even her mother who is a pioneer has not made an issue of the engagement.. has things changed?.

  are the elders easing up a little on the rank and file?.

  My brother is still in da troof, he is seeing a girl from another congregation, they are both baptized. Now he baisically lives at his girlfriends house even though her dad is an Elder!!!

  Hi Ian, no I didnt do it I wouldnt know where to start!

  We got it round on an E-mail at work today but it was a Microsoft Excel attachment and i've been trying all afternoon to copy & paste etc with no success. I finally found it on the internet and copied it accross.

  I'll let you know next week about the curry, its a bit hard cos I dont drive & im trying to get something sorted. Have a good weekend.

  i used to let the jehovah's witness in week to week!

  i used to enjoy my studies and take it all in,they used to be there hours talking to me, they was wanting me to go to the kingdom hall i was not ready to make that step, but was very close to giving my life to jehovah's witness!then one night i decided to go out for a few drinks with my friends.

  and tragically on my way home i was attacked and raped.

  So sorry to hear about your past, it should not have happened. Im pleased you decided to tell the witnesses to get stuffed. I was brought up in the religion and it took 10years to get to that stage.

  not a fan of peter andre but happened to see his book (biography) on the shelf in tesco.

  i had heard in the past that he had been brought-up as a jw, so had a nose through to see if he had anything to say.

  he mentions that he celebrated christmas for the first time 2 years ago with katie price.

  morning all.

  i was brought up a jw in a small town in north of england and we had a huge territory to cover.

  obviously i was the only jw in school so just about everyone knew me.

  I was brought up a JW in a small town in north of england and we had a huge territory to cover. Obviously I was the only JW in school so just about everyone knew me. I hated it when we went to areas where I knew people from school lived. There was quite a rough part of our town where most of the idiots lived and dispite our territory being massive we always seemed to work this area. I couldn't stand it. I'd be there in my suite with a dodgy briefcase bag thing knocking on doors with the magazines when all the school kids used to follow us about. Then Monday came and I was back at school where all the kids just laughed at me.

  I know I had it pretty easy compared to some. In the west end of Newcastle (which is realy bad) we heard that people used to get stones & bricks thrown at them whilst they were on the ministry.

  Did anyone have any dodgy experiences, good, bad or funny when they used to go knocking on doors?
